As I began my adult life, I distinctly recall wanting to achieve success in my personal and professional life while having a positive impact on those around me. Early on, I didn't know how to accomplish these goals but kept my eyes open for opportunities.
In 1983, I discovered the credit union movement, which is focused on providing service and support to others. The philosophy of credit unions is based on two core values - "people helping people" and the idea that credit unions are "not for profit, not for charity, but for service." That year, I began my career in the credit union movement and joined WV Central as a member.
