How to Join

West Virginia Central is a federally chartered credit union serving those that live, work, worship or attend school in the counties of Wood, Pleasants, Ritchie, Wirt, or Jackson in West Virginia or the county of Washington in Ohio. 

If someone in your immediate family is a member of West Virginia Central (grandparent, parent, spouse, sibling, child, stepchildren, stepparents, stepsiblings and adopted children) then you are eligible for membership.

It will be helpful if you have the following documentation available when opening your account for yourself and any joint applicants:

  • Valid Social Security Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Your current address
  • Previous address (if current address is less than 12 months)
  • Email address
  • Telephone Numbers
  • Valid identification information (including number, date of issue and expiration date)

*A deposit of $6.00 is required to open your credit union membership, $1.00 for the membership fee and $5.00 remains in your account until the account is closed.
