West Virginia Central is now a Federal Credit Union.

West Virginia Central Credit Union is excited to announce something big, recently approved by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Our credit union is now West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union, and will convert from a state to a federal charter.

“We are extremely excited about our conversion to a federal charter and to having a 6 county field of membership. WV Central has been working towards this expansion so that we could be best positioned for growth and to serve our local communities. If you live, work, worship or go to school in Wood, Pleasants, Ritchie, Wirt or Jackson Counties in WV or Washington County, Ohio, we encourage you to come experience the savings and world class service provided by WV Central Federal Credit Union!” says Michael Tucker, West Virginia Central’s President and CEO.

Our current members will always remain members even if they are outside the 6 county field of membership, with their family’s also remaining eligible to join.

We are striving to make this transition as seamless as possible for our members. While our name will be changing our great service will remain the same. We would like to welcome our new potential membership and encourage all our current members to spread the word and invite your friends and family to join your credit union!
