International Credit Union Day – October 15, 2015

Posted on October 15, 2015

Every year since 1948, the third Thursday of October has been a day to reflect upon the credit union movement’s history and achievements. Its a day to honor those who have dedicated their lives to the movement and to recognize the hard work of those working in the credit union system.

From their humble beginnings and through the present day, the West Virginia credit union movement has been blessed with many volunteers who have tirelessly promoted the values of credit unions at their workplace, in their neighborhoods, and their places of worship.

Today, credit unions celebrate the more than 102 million credit union members in the U.S who value what credit unions do to serve them each and every day. Putting people first is what truly makes a difference.

WV Central Credit Union would like to thank all staff and volunteers for their dedication and continued support of West Virginia credit unions and the credit union movement.
