State Quarters are Here
Collect All 50 States!
You can purchase state commemorative quarters at West Virginia Central Credit Union. Coin sales are an effort to raise funds and awareness for the Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC), who looks after credit union legislative interests on Capitol Hill.

In January 1999, the U.S. Treasury began a unique and historically compelling ten-year celebration of the 50 States. A series of five quarter dollars are being issued each year from 1999 through 2008 celebrating each of the 50 states of the Union. The coins are being issued in the sequence that the states became part of the United States of America.
Each state quarter set contains two un-circulated quarters; one from each coin mint - Denver (D,) and Philadelphia (P), and historical data and interesting facts are included with each state quarter set. Collector box sets are also available that include all state coins minted to date and a collector box.
Collector box sets can be purchased for $68.00 (includes collector's box.) Individual state quarter sets can be purchased separately. Contact the credit union for price information on individual state quarter sets.
Additional state quarters are being minted approximately every 10 weeks until all 50 states have been completed in 2008. Each new quarter will be minted for 10 weeks and then taken out of production. That’s why, as time goes by, these quarter sets will increase in value.
The following quarters will be issued in 2002; Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana, Indiana and Mississippi. The Tennessee and Ohio quarter sets are already available.
The following sets are now available: Delaware; Pennsylvania; New Jersey; Georgia; Connecticut; Massachusetts; Maryland; South Carolina; New Hampshire; Virginia, New York; North Carolina; Rhode Island; Vermont; and Kentucky.
The State Quarters make an ideal gift for coin collectors, students, or even grandchildren.
