Need help paying for college?
Do you or someone you know need money for college? Stop by any public or private school's financial aid office to get general information and find out if you're eligible for this federal program. The Higher Education Act sets the rates, terms, and eligibility requirements. That's why we offer Federal Stafford loans for students and Federal PLUS loans for parents/stepparents. Get your federal student loan where you're more than a customer. Get it at WV Central Credit Union. The Financial Aid Process
- Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. These forms are available from high school guidance offices or apply over the internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- In 4-6 weeks, you'll receive your results, called a Student Aid Report (SAR).
- Your school will then determine what aid you qualify for and notify you in an award letter.
- In your school awards a Federal Stafford Loan, come to your credit union for an application.
