Matt Armstrong, who recently completed the Credit Union's money management seminar, "Credit When Credit is Due" offers the following testimonial:

"I started this class, "Credit When Credit Is Due" hoping to learn about managing money better.  I have learned a lot and have come to appreciate West Virginia Central Credit Union very much.

Recently, I came to the Credit Union to apply for a loan in the amount of $1,000.00.  Before I walked through the door, I knew I would not qualify for the loan, however, I went ahead and applied.  The loan officer asked a few questions and ran my credit report.  She let me tell her why my credit was not up to par, but was still not able to grant me the loan without a co-signer and some collateral.  I thanked her for her time and left.

A few weeks later some unexpected circumstances happened beyond our control.  It was then that I was grateful that I had been denied the loan.  With the stress and sorrow that followed, the last thing I needed was a loan that I could not pay.

As I have been in the class, I have learned that I could have probably gone somewhere else to get the loan with high interest and severe penalties upon failure to pay the loan.

Thank you West Virginia Central Credit Union for offering this class to your members and others.  I am forever grateful."

Thanks,

  Matt
