On Thursday, October 19, we invite you to join over 100 million
credit union members worldwide in the celebration of International Credit Union Day.
Credit unions have kept their purpose constant for more than 150 years. Today, more than
100 million people worldwide belong to 37,623 credit unions in 84 countries.
Because credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives, their focus has always
been on service to members. At one credit union, that service may mean refinancing a new
member's car at a lower rate. At another, a member might be taking out a $400 loan to get
through tight times. Credit unions provide the services members request--whether it's a
student loan or car loan or a first mortgage. No need is too big or too small.
Each member has an equal vote in electing a volunteer board of directors. There are no
stockholders, so members receive higher rates on their savings accounts, lower rates on
loans, and lower service fees.
Join us for International Credit Union Day on Thursday, October 19, 2000. You'll find the
best deals and the best service, year 'round.

required, is for you to fill out the coupon (bottom left of this page) and mail it back to
the credit union. This coupon will be placed into a box and one lucky member will be
the winner of a new computer. The winner will be picked on Friday, October 20, 2000
